WELCOME TO ETI_CHEF!

ETI-CHEF is an innovative Erasmus+ project empowering VET learners and educators in the food sector to navigate today’s digital world responsibly. Through multilingual resources, it promotes media literacy, critical thinking, and ethical food communication, helping tackle misinformation, fake news, and food shaming. Explore, learn, and be part of a more conscious digital food culture. ETI_CHEF RESPECT IN EVERY BITE

WHY IT MATTERS

The connection between food and social media is stronger than ever, transforming the way we experience, share, and interpret gastronomy. While this brings new opportunities, it also amplifies real risks: misinformation, fake news, extreme diets, and harmful narratives spread rapidly, especially among young people.

In this context, it is essential to develop critical thinking, digital awareness, and responsibility in food communication.

ETI-CHEF was created to address these challenges by providing innovative tools that integrate media literacy, ethics, and netiquette into vocational training and active citizenship. The goal is to contribute to a safer, more inclusive, and transparent digital ecosystem, where food is communicated with respect and awareness.

Because today, more than ever, how we communicate food truly matters.

THE TEAM

We are a European partnership of organisations, VET centres, and experts in the food sector, united by the goal of innovating vocational education and training. We combine expertise in education, digital innovation, and gastronomy to create practical, accessible tools for students and educators across Europe. We believe in a form of education that goes beyond technical skills—one that is conscious, inclusive, and future-oriented.
